Design Challenge offered by Dok-ing XD is searching for the design of its concept city EV’s new interior. The best project will be brought to life and presented in next Dok-ing concept car during 2013. The Competition is organized by the Auto®, the largest automotive design conference in Europe. In its fifth year Auto® will took place in Zagreb (4 – 7 April 2013), Croatia.

Segment is a cutting-edge sofa designed by Numen/ForUse for Kvadra, the Croatian brand of upholstered furniture. Apart from solving the hierarchical principles of assembling the components of modular upholstered furniture, its strength originates from its identity: the form of its main component part – double-sided ends sloping at a 45° angle!

Orgatec has brought us many novelties, among them the new Thonet S774 high-tech chair where for the first time carbon fibre, plastic and epoxy resin are ‘amalgamated’ using the new resin transfer moulding technique (RTM). The chair’s design is based on Eddie Harlis’ classic S 664 chair from the 1950s with its signature wooden seat shell.

The ambience of artists’ studios, theatre stages and literary cafés provided the inspiration behind this new chair for Thonet, designed by Berlin-based industrial designers Julia Läufer and Marcus Keichel.
